My photos were published in Photography in the Visual Culture 2021 by @serradifalco_editore with collaboration from @musainternationalartspace from Milan, Italy.

“100 photographers and infinite visions of a universal language. There are images which have changed the world and the way we see it. VISUAL CULTURE series of books aim to tell and show the strategic importance of visual communication in all fields. This book is dedicated to photography and photographers of the moment and collects the most interesting shots from all over the world.”

Out of the 100 photographers in this book I’m 1 of the 9 Americans featured.

@serradifalco_editore first reached out to me back in September of 2021 having had found me and my work from the @nikonphotocontest.

I can’t express enough how thankful and honored I am to have been invited to be a part of this project. It’s such an amazing feeling holding a book your photos have been published in.

Sincerely, thank you for acknowledging my work.

“Close” Boundaries Series | May 2020

In May of 2020, alone in isolation, I found myself needing to clear my mind of resentment and start new. I began writing in my journal all the ways that I had felt my boundaries were ignored, disrespected, and crossed. I started to realize that no matter how big or small these moments may have seemed at the time, they were all valid and worthy of my attention. I was inspired to photograph these pieces by painting my words on the bodies of my friends. I wrote the phrases from my journal on cards and laid them out in my friend's studio. Letting the models individually choose the expressions that resonated with them most made this project more intimate and powerful than I could have expected. There are four more images in the Boundaries Series; all images were shot on my Nikon F2 using Kodak Portra 400, 35mm film.

“Escape” | April 2020

The city was silent. Our minds were not. Our day to day escape was creation. My friend and I would climb to the top of the tallest buildings in our city to talk, to paint, to draw, to dance; anything that freed ourselves from the anxieties penetrating our world. One windy day, inspired by a piece of chiffon, we climbed as high as we could. We flowed as freely as the fabric did. Shot on my Nikon F2 using Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100, 35mm film.
